Video art session screening of the short version of ‘O Cante Acusmático de Pias’ film by António Duarte (2017), as well the short films TRANSFIGURAÇÃO by Rui Cacilhas (2020) and SOMBRAS VEGETAIS by Ilda Teresa de Castro (2018).

The presence of the choral and ethnographic group * ‘Os Camponeses de Pias’ in Évora, allowed making some shots in the Historical Centre of the city and near the collaborative sculpture of visual poetry GMPS21-Global Multimedia Poetry Stands 2021 integrated in the 2nd Edition of EV.EX-Évora

The good framing of images of the historic centre facilitated the work of the television reporting team that accompanied the choral group, for a report on a national television channel, followed by a dinner at the Associação Cultural e Desportiva da Malagueira.

* Cante Alentejano, is a polyphonic singing from Alentejo, southern Portugal Inscribed in 2014 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.


At 9:00 p.m. the group “Os Camponeses de Pias” made a guided visit to the National Museum “Frei Manuel do Cenáculo” accompanied by the museum’s director Sandra Leandro, followed by a moment of Cante à Moda de Pias in a unique space, in front of one of the most emblematic works of the building, the the renaissance altarpiece ‘Retábulo da Sé de Évora’ (1530 AD – 1537 AD).

The video art projection session took place in the temporary exhibition room where the exhibition Bahia for Évora is held, also integrated in EV.EX-Évora Experimental 2021.
